When I bought the Blades I had planned on 200 hours. I loaded the music server, at the time an Aurender S10, and played it 24 / 7. When it ran low on music, I filled it up again. At night, when I went upstairs to bed, I just turned it down pretty low. During the day mostly lower volume. Basically just kept the drivers moving. At 200 or so hours the sonics were noticeably better- especially in the bass and the dynamics had improved. But at 300 to maybe 400 hours, that's when things really got much better. It was one of those head shaking things- you know when you just can't believe what you are hearing? I certainly can't speak for the rest of KEF's lineup but since the Blades, the Reference series, and the LS50's share very similar designs, I'd say you might have a ways to go if you have a 100 or so hours thus far. Hopefully, you'll find rewarding improvements at the end of it all.
