Speakers for small room

Hi folks, I haven't been on here or shopped any audio gear in a long time, so I thought I'd return to check in and get some advice.

I have a very small building in my backyard that I use for an office/voice recording (podcast) studio. I am currently using a set of Klipsch computer speakers (the nicer/older ones) but they are pretty tinny for what I am looking for and I am now at a place where I need to install some new speakers. It's an imperfect audio space to say the least. In a perfect world I would find a small speaker that can be corner mounted at the top of the walls (where the Klipsch are now) and would provide decent enough response that a sub would be optional. I can of course put a sub in the space, but I'd rather have the floor space for other things.

Impossible I know. The building is 8x12 feet and the speakers are mounted on the long wall. Obviously I am not looking for a complex sound stage here, just a nice set of smallish speakers that will fill the space with sound. I listen to music, master podcasts (usually with headphones) and watch TV while I work.

Oh, and I am open to kits.

Thanks for any advice!

Shane
