But of course Paul and the others are reviewers. That is what they do review. It would make for very bad copy if every speaker reviewed ended with they were good speakers but I preferred my Quads!
Stats are far from perfect. By neither are dynamics, horns, ribbons, planars, etc. They all have their virtues and demons. If one is partial to the sound of a stat then nothing else will do skeletal sound and all.
As for being worn out I would think that a more appropriate observation for dynamics.
