Monitor Audio rsw12 subwoofer spikes

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

An unlikely dump find (my in-law manages the place). Looks and plays fine. Now hooked up with Jbl 4401 monitors as the front of my home theater, through a basic Yamaha AVR. I love what I am hearing. Even my turntable sounds very good, through my yamaha preamp, in this system. Not sure I would spend 1k for it but this sub is very musical.
However, it sits on thick carpet and had no spikes, are they worth buying and installing?
