Met a custom installer based in silicone Valley. Minimum system cost was a cool $1 mil. He occasionally would dip below, say to $750K, but these were systems in stalled in yachts and planes and whose owners already had the million + systems installed in the home. Then of course there were the yearly upgrades: new projectors and screens...
I believe he did Spielbergs' systems in California and Kauai( Spielberg did NOT want to to have to memorize two different remote systems). forgot to ask the price, but it was a lot (some how 5 mil sticks in my mind)......
Ahhh well, I guess it could be a tax write off.....
