3-way DSP crossover for a 2-way loudspeaker + dual sub configuration. Subs will be used in stereo (i.e. one per channel) with a crossover frequency in the 80 Hz range.
Crossover from mid to high should be linear phase FIR. Crossover to sub could be FIR or IIR. EQ should either be manual (preferred) or if automated then I want to at least control the target curve and constraints. Ideally, the EQ would offer both IIR filters for notching room modes and FIR filters for equalizing the speaker's time gated pseudo-anechoic response to the desired near-flat target curve.
I don't want a PC-centric solution, so nothing software only. It should either be a digital pre-amp with volume control and high quality XLR outputs or a DSP box with digital in/out that will go between a streamer and a high quality DAC. I'm an engineer familiar with acoustics and I have measurement tools, so I'm not necessarily looking for something simple and easy, but I'm not ruling out an automated solution either.
I'm familiar with the DEQX feature set and have heard a good demo. Though it doesn't tick all the boxes on my wish list, it's close. And the price isn't crazy. Since you mentioned there are better systems today, I figured I'd ask.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
