I have only had stock Klipsch, I owned Heresy III and don't think they will do what you are looking for, I thought the bottom octave dropped off fast. I biamped them at one time and the midbass hit like a monster with a solid state amp.
The Forte I owned had a nice balanced response with big bottom end. You might also consider the Chorus.
I bought the KLF model with 10's and returned them the distortion level with an amp with power was terrible and from the large port in back you could see from the lack of bracing, crossover quality or insulation it was not Klipsch's finest model.
Though out of your budget the latest couple of Reference lines I thought was very good with much smoother horns than in the past as well as better balanced sound.
Something that may be in your price but giving up some efficiency but in my opinion would meet your needs better than Klipsch are the JBL Studio or LS series. The horn drivers are way better, smoother with more detail, and they are JBL so the bass is there. The LS were sold through installers and specialty retail, the performance for the price was outstanding. Some of the best horn drivers I've heard in consumer speakers. I should say in that price range, the JBL's upper end Array is obviously better.
I owned a pair of Zu Audio for a while, Omen towers with Super Fly drivers, I couldn't get really low bass in my set up but they were very impressive at how loud they could play and sound as clear as they did at lower levels. There would have to be toward the top of my list of distortion free speakers.
If they would have been around when I had my CJ MV60's I would have considered Golden Ear powered towers, let their amps heft the bass and the CJ to bring the rest.
