I purchased the lepai and the dayton speakers as a gift for one of my kids. I liked it so much I played it until it came time to give it!! Actually produces some bass and a nice non gritty treble as well as a nice soundstage. Do not count on a big volume but what there is, is quite adequate in my opinion. For the little dollars it is nice sound and did not disappoint myself nor my gift recipient.
