RE: Klipsch vintage or new

They'll sound good on many types of amps. I once had my Khorns plumbed into:

A pair of McIntosh MC-30's, tubed / 30 watts each
A McIntosh 2102 tubed/100 watts-channel
A pair of Wright 2A3, tubed, about 8 watts each
A pair of Transcendent SE-OTL amps, bridged to 4 watts each
A pair of Quad II amps, something like 40 watts each
A Viva 300B-SET amp, around 8 watts/channel

dbx Bx1 monster amp, 400 watts channel
dbx Bx3 monster amp, 400 watts channel

I'm not saying there were not 'differences'. I'm saying that as long as you stayed in the working range of a respective amp, the differences were small and not "OMG" like you sometimes read.

The "OMG" difference came from selling the 3-way Khorns and moving to the 2-way Jubilee. That was a far more substantial change (improvement) than dinkering around with those various amps.

Today, I'm using some Crown K2's on each Jubilee and have multiple thousands of dollars back in my pocket from selling the various tube amps.
