As you have both CD and LP sources, does the problem occur with both (this will help eliminate causes)?

One possibility that needs to be looked at is that the speakers are faulty in some way. Are they brand new or did you buy them used? If the former you may have recourse to the retailer; if the latter, is there any possibility that the previous owner could have fiddled around with the crossovers? As mentioned previously the reputation of these standmount speakers is not one of over generous bass.

Unfortunately the fact that other speakers worked fine in a similar position (I infer) in your room is no guarantee that the Auditor M's will as well. Are they set up across the short or long walls in your room?
