I have the Auditor Ms but do not experience the bass issue you are detailing. In fact, I have an REL B1 that I use with them. Maybe it is your electronics. I ma using a McIntosh C2300 pre and MC452 amp. I just love this combo and it will stay withme for a long time. The Ms are the best monitors I have owned. They do take about 100 hrs to break-in / settle down.
