RE: tube friendly speakers

Generally speaking, a speaker with a high and relatively flat impedance curve is more tube friendly. I find this to be more important than high efficiency.

A lot also depends on the kind of tube sound you desire. I happen to dislike most high-powered pentode and tetrode tube amps and so "tube friendly" means speakers that can be powered by 20 watts or less. If it needs substantially more than this, I would be looking at solid state amps.
