Question about bass frequency

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I presently own a Golden Ear triton seven whose low end frequency response is rated at 29 Hz. The new Trion five coming out in April has 26 Hz listed as its lowest frequency before roll off. Is there a real audible difference between them. I would guess small changes like this in the bass region are more easily detected but I wonder whether 3 Hz would be significant here. I admit to very limited knowledge here. Thanks.
