RE: Loudspeakers in rooms - not flat, but how bad ?

It definitely can be that bad. I bought the Behringer ultracurve and measurement mic and measured my system a long time ago. There were massive peaks and valleys in the bass in the room I was in at the time. I did the math and the peaks were at the frequencies they should've been for the room dimensions. I ended up building a ton of bass traps to reduce the problem.
