I too prefer acoustic suspension over ported with dynamic designs. The port "chuffing" can get really tiresome at higher levels. I had a pair of Paradigm 100 v3's years ago that would do this. When my son was a toddler he went up to the port to investigate unbeknownst to me, when I walked into the room to turn down the volume I noticed his hair literally blowing in the wind. Those ports can move a lot of air at a rapid rate.
You mentioned your smaller room as < 1500 square ft. Did you mean cubic feet?
