After some experimenting with A-25s back in the '80s I happened to find a very nice pair (with original shipping cartons!) at a garage sale for $60 (I didn't even quibble) about 15 years ago. I'm not using them now but have plans for an office/den system. In my current pair a friend more knowledgeable about electronics than I am installed a better quality cap in the crossover. Then I removed the metal mesh tweeter screens. Not everyone agrees with the latter change but I find it opens up the highs a bit and I don't need their protection.
On an earlier pair I opened them up and carefully cut out a strip of the insulation on both sides just above the woofer, then installed solid wood 3/4 x 1 3/4 braces on each side. I then replaced the insulation over the braces. That seemed to slightly tighten the bass without "drying" it out. But it was for playback in a large room and powerful SS amp. I don't expect to do that to my current pair.
Bottom line, it is a wonderfully musical speaker and one which can be squeezed for a little more performance.
