RE: Do Tannoy DCs have a midrange honk effect ?

It's not a spike, more a wide(ish) hump.
Tannoys had that in common with the vast majority if not all pre-CAD horns.
Dropping 2-3dB with an medium Q in the right part of the frequency spectrum sorts it out nicely.
