I think some call good highs bright. I say that if Norah Jones's voice makes my ears bleed, that's bright. If I can listen to her and or similar singers for hours without listening fatigue, it may render highs better than some might enjoy, but I don't consider it bright. I am a soft dome type, but these Vandersteens have me reconsidering metal dome tweeters. In fact the only soft dome speaker on my list are the old KEFs I think.
