The problems maybe are (in order)
1) the recording
2) the listening room
3) the systemand i am sure i am not alone to think this way, at least here
If " listening to any recording of the piece would be like eating cardboard " ... well why so many spend so much for that ?
Are they all silly ?
Instead i have been exposed in some occasions to really good recorded music played back on great system
I could not get enough of it
Change system ! better ... change listening room is my advice.
