Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Find a good local woodworker/furniture restorer

As long as the damage is only cosmetic and not functional, it can probably be fixed. It'll take some Bondo, sanding, and repainting. Probably won't cost THAT much more, considering what you've already invested, and you can at least try billing UPS for the repairs. Might need a lawyer, and the threat of litigation, to make 'em pay, though, and that of course means more expense.

Damn shame, but UPS is notorious for for this sort of damage, and they DON'T CARE! Packing needs to be virtually bomb-proof prior to shipping.

Since you really love the sound, those speakers are worth keeping and worth fixing up purty again.
