RE: Revel Performa 3 M106

I own Revel F52's as well, didn't think anything could get me away from Dynaudio. I've heard the M106 & 206, the Performa 3 are nothing like the Performa 2. Revel claims to have done a lot of listening with their "state of the art blind listening" set up, but they only use one speaker opposed to a pair. Any way the Performa 3 series went a different way on sound. I had and offer to trade into the P3, I said, no thanks. As Slippers stated the M106 is runt of that series. It's also true it's out of character with the rest of the P3 series and I found it less appealing as well.

The F52 is one of the most balanced and accurate speakers I've heard, and I really can't think of another speaker that provides the kind of low end detail the F52 does.

It's also true we all like different responses from speakers, one friend thought my system didn't have bass, I told him it's his CD and had to play something with bass content, the F52's aren't going to add anything to the sound. This guy preferred a less honest presentation, one that would provide him some bass bloom.
