B&W Matrix 801

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between B&W Matrix 801 speakers labelled 801M and 801 Series 2? From the outside they look identical. They sound the same, the crossovers seemed the same when I removed the biwire shorting link. I have asked B&W and they either don't know or won't tell!
