Need Info..

Monitor Golds came in 2 Varieties;
Early production Golds had the folded accordian edge surrounds of the earlier Dual Concentrics. Likely to use up existing Cone stockpiles.
Later Gold (real ones IMO) versions were fitted with Butyl rubber surrounds. THE more desirable version, as the next version HPDs, made sold under Harmon International Corp decree were fitted with Ewwww. biodegradable Foam surrounds.. Not an improvement, by any yardstick
TS parameters are significantly differing from either the early surround Golds And the later HPDs.
These rubber edged 12's have/had a midrange that was /is arguably THE High water mark of Tannoy sounds.
Also note that, now at 40 years of age, the crossovers need a refurbish.. badly.
But Collector Weenies balk at 'opened' Crossover boxes.. silly boys!
Relaise that the M cabinets are essentially worthless. Mediocre designs poorly made out of flimsy materials. Only collector types would value those, beyond kindling

Best to point out that Tannoy was primarily a Driver Maker..
Woodwork manufacture was only an attempt to sell more Drivers in to the Consumer market
Price?? Wellll.. I paid $147 each for mine... in 1972.

No sympathy/respect for those who seek only profit.
