But these should probably be looked at as more than just stands to put speakers on. They appear to be designed to become part of the speaker enclosure itself. And more and more as speakers get better it's obvious that the box is not just a box; the more inert it is the better the speaker.
But I agree it's like super costly cables. It is hard to digest what at 1st was an accessory costing more than the speaker. And it isn't pretty but one could argue that in a functional sense it's beautiful.
