Goodmans Axiom 201 and Trebax tweeters

Hi all,
can anyone provide some direction on how to correctly connect a Goodmans Trebax 35L (built in x-over?) to a Goodmans Axiom 201 in a 2-way system?
The Trebax has 3 wires coming off it, which I believe went to an attenuator dial (which I don't have).
The 201s were connected to the Trebax, with a second set of 2 wires also off the Trebax, I assume going to the amp.
Do I assume that the Trebax can only work with the attenuator, and if yes, can I create one in some fashion?
I've also posted over in High Efficiency forum and Vintage, but had no responses, so hoping for some advice here - trust that's not poor etiquette?
