RE: Isoacoustics speaker stands

Those stands look very interesting and they seem to be thoughtfully designed and very well built.

I take pause, however, whenever anyone claims that their own stands or platforms are designed to allow ANY pair of loudspeakers to sound as they were "intended" to sound.

IMO, if you want your loudspeakers to sound as they were "intended" to sound you should try to replicate, as close as possible, the conditions under which your speakers were originally designed and/or "voiced" for (appropriate installation, sometimes called "Manufacturer's Recommendations"). Using speaker stands that are similar to the ones that the manufacturer uses and/or recommends might be one of the better ways to make our loudspeakers sound the way that they were "intended" to sound.

Some loudspeaker manufacturers do not provide recommendations for specific types of stands or platforms and in those cases we are left to experiment for ourselves, of course. But, if it is true that speaker stands can affect the way our loudspeakers sound, finding the "correct" pair of stands or platforms is worthy.
