Hey, I agree with you that I don't like the anti-theft crap prevalent in the video biz these days.

If it were truly transparent to the user, that would be fine. Unfortunately, like the ill fated DRM concept, it is most certainly not.

Did Fox and Sony suddenly grow a brain between them?

Paranoia remains rampant. Like the ongoing struggle seen with Spy-vs-Spy cartoons in Mad Magazine, any protection scheme can be broken. The real problem with the movie industry has nothing to do with piracy.
