Measurements?
Someone needs to clue in Absolute Sound that you can buy a decent microphone, stand, and sound card for less than $1k. For such a small investment, they'd be able to actually back up all the "trust me 's" and "I gotta tell ya 's " with some actual measurements that support what is being said. They could even report back how much consistency between speakers exists with all the care that goes into the construction and testing of high end speakers by the manufacturer. With readily accessible measurement equipment, there is simply no excuse for producing a "review" that doesn't seek on some menial level to support listener observations with some form of numerical assessment/analysis. It's not like these speakers have a tremendous flaw that has to be hidden. So why the phobia against measurements?
