Mali, The Stands are BBC 28", and I did use the spikes as per manufacturer reccomendation. Here is a description of the stands.
For Sale: One new pair of BBC SS-28 28" Professional Anti Feed Back satin black vibration isolator speaker stands. The BBC Professional speaker stands are designed by British engineers, manufactured of MDF and highly compressed material and filled with C.O.II Silicon in order to obtain anti feed back. Supplied with gold color adjustable locking floor spikes and rubber caps for the top plate speaker interface. Top plate: 9" X 6", bottom plate: 12" X 10". Shipped with the top and bottom plates off, all necessary hardware is included.
