In over fifty years as an audio douche, I've owned Silvers, Reds, Golds, and now Memory GRFs with 3839M drivers. I have powered them with high- and low-powered tube amps as well as solid state, all with excellent results. Once you get used to the steering wheel on the right, Tannoy DCs are exceptionally easy to drive.Unless you are a head banger who is already half-deaf and determined to finish the job - and then only if your listening room is an unusually large one - the MA6400's 100 watts-per-channel will provide power to spare, and then some.
With the meters on my 7270 showing peak values of two-and-one-half watts, everyone is driven out of my large living room. Then I can removed my ear plugs, turn it down a notch or two, and bask in my Wagner.
