I own Tannoy GRF Memory 15" speakers and I'm thinking about getting a McIntosh MA 6400 to drive them with but I'm wondering if it will be up to the job. The amp delivers 100 watt @ 4 Ohm, the speakers are 8 Ohm so delivery to the speakers will be roughly 70 watts, [Tannoy recommends 50-250 watt] I know I can always get a separate preamp to beef things up, but if I get the MA6400 that will be it for the time being, so it will have to suffice on its own. I also welcome recommendations about other great amps for the Tannoys.
