Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

clarification

Going the 12"/10" route, the drivers and cabinets would cost less (this is a DIY project) and the subs would be less space intrusive objects in the room. The 15" drivers and resulting cabinets would appear to be overkill on multiple levels if paired with your current speakers.

Just my opinion, but to me it would be like buying a 300wpc amp to play music at 35dB.
