Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

Compression driver and horn would be best.

I would use a compression driver with rare earth magnet so its light with a simple 24db network. And use a horn that fits in your back pack. Heck if you want email me I can design it for free tell you what and where to buy parts. Trust me this is the best way to cover the frequency range have detail and travel far into the woods. Higher ranges don't travel well the woods itself would break up and absorb much of your SPL. If you use a horn depending on flare you could flood or aim vocalizations just change horn. You could easily cary both plastic horn flares in a back pack and use horns that just twist onto driver. Many compression drivers can be used outdoors and are near impossible to damage.
