Old School -Sound is subjective, that was the point of my posts.
The IVA was made with upgraded parts, does it sound better(?), does it sound different, yes, do they command a higher resale value, yes! Stereophile did reviews on both, I suggest the OP try to read both if he cannot have a "blind test" auditioning both side by side.
Re; "If you think every new incarnation of a product is superior to the older one, you are a fool." - Nope I don't, but in John Dunlavy's case I would suspect knowing the guy like I did, he did believe it was.
