Best audition as many as you can and take your CD's so that the music is familiar.

Right now I am listening to some Leonard Cohen through the Focal 806V.

His voice is amazingly as textured as I heard it at the RMAF 2007.

This was through Kara Chaffe GM70 SE amps and some Wilson Benesh speakers w/Radial SW.

OK maybe not as refined...

Heck my Dynaco PAS3 and ST-35 really get the job done!

I just got a Marantz BD7004 I stole for $299!

This player makes a big difference from my Sony Best Buy budget DVD player.

Anyhow, the Focals are amazing.

They make floor standing sound in a stand mounted form factor.
