So right.... this 'lean' period in my life has brought a certain peace to my musical soul.

Devoid of my dozens of pieces of equipment, the minimalist excursion has me experimenting with new music from Barnes and Noble & Fye.

Madeleine Peyroux and Bill Douglas among the new vibes. Also Ryan Farish to smooth the environment.

The Focals have a way of projecting the music unlike any speaker I have owned. They are voiced in an elegant manner, and the bass is lush, never lacking.

For a pair of small speakers the price was very good value.

I had a chance to buy the 800 series, but the extra $300 was mostly cosmetic, the DNA mostly un-changed.
