Hallo ! Have an old Electro Voice 15" from the Force series mounted in a big pinecabinet for my guitaramp . Its a "de-tuned- cabinet" built from Kevin O´Connor´s book. I loke this 15" speaker very much . Under this is a 12" JBL D120 with a aluminium dome . Also in this frontpanel there are several holes or openings . Both drivers are 8 ohms and connected in parallell . My problem is that the JBL is a bit harsch , scrill sounding . I put a small cushion in front of the 12" and it became better . Wonder if I can connect a suitable resistor in series with this JBL or use some cap . Or shall I mount a 5-7 " plate or dome in front of this speaker in order to spread the high notes ? Or do you have another suggestion ? Thanks for an answer .
