Not because I'm a Bose fan. I haven't heard any Bose speakers since I went to listen to a pair of 901's at a dealer's in the early 1970's.
(I'm not going to count the biker bar I used to hang at in the mid 1980's, which had many 901's scattered about, all hanging by chains from the ceiling. They were turned 180°, with the eight drivers facing the crowd. There, 'LOUD' was the main goal.)
No, I'm going to support you because you bought what you like, what lets you enjoy your music. Forget "accuracy"; forget "audiophile status".
If a pair of Bose 401 bring you more musical pleasure than anything else you've owned or listened to, then screw what anybody else thinks about it.
