Home Speaker Asylum

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

RE: REVIEW

It is interesting to note that every Totem I have heard has the woofer phase inverted to the tweeter. The Spica, on the other hand, is both phase and time aligned. I find the Spica to more consonant with real music than any Totem, especially when listening to piano, where the Totem makes a solo piano sound like two different instruments.

The TC-60 has a L shaped port run and the speaker had a recommended 60 watts of power minimum, IIRC (it could have been a 100 watts). The additional power was essential to control and create the bass output.
