Typically you're correct. They sold new for 3500, then we sold to a friend who is now moving onto a boat for a while, so they came back to the owner cheap. In the 2K price range there are speakers I prefer. But if you lucked into a pair (Perhaps the non anniversary) cheap, you'd have a very nice speaker.
