Thanks for the help. I saw both those listings, I talked to Midwest and they haven't had any bad reports yet from the aftermarket replacement, so I'll probably go that route.

When you say rubbing, do you know exactly where this is occurring, the coils on the side of the magnet or? I saw this here:

and I guess you can "adjust" these, although room for adjustment is pretty small. This might be a different issue than rubbing?
