Re: Sonus Faber Gravis

I've only been using the sub+rearspeakers for about three weeks, which means I haven't got the time to really evaluate these speakers as much as I would like. So far, I've only used the Gravis in my HT-setup, connected directly to my Sony TA-E9000ES Preamp/Processor. I do believe this sub to be somewhat HT-oriented. Compared to my former sub(REL Strata 2), the Sonus is more powerful and extended, but not quite as transparent nor detailed. I do believe the REL to be faster and more lightweight. The Sonus suits my HT-needs much better than my earlier REL, the REL on the other hand might be the better choice for a music-only system.
I will have to leave you with some reservations though, due to the fact that I haven't used the Gravis in my music-system. I won't expect the Gravis to keep up with my Electa Amator 2s when it comes to serious musicreproduction though. This wasn't my intention when choosing the Gravis. I will continue using the Gravis only for HT purposes. Actually I seldom miss the very lowest octaves when enjoying music through my Electa Amator 2s :o)
