The Guarneri is the most refined and most neutral SF speaker, even though it loses out in terms of sheer resolution and dynamics against the Amati Homage. Actually it loses out on bass dynamics against the Electa Amator II which as a beefier and deeper bass as well. The Guarneri has extremely flat bass down to about 55Hz and then it begins to roll off down to 42Hz w/c is the lowest note on the acoustic double bass. This bass will be sufficient in a small room to suite most music however, the catch is the Guarneri demands medium to big rooms because of their tall stands w/c in turn are not friendly to nearfield listening. Therefore, in the appropriate room of about 14'x20' or larger, the Guarneris would tend to lack clout on instruments such as the piano, drums, etc and will in fact sound more balanced with the aid of a good subwoofer. What are the dimensions of your 200 sq. ft. room? If you dont have a long wall that is about 14' or so wide, then the Signums augmented by a subwoofer maybe your best bet.
