Gentlemen-I'm using a trio of Vibrapods w/my Sonatinas on a low-pile carpet. While everything sounds great, I'm the insatiable type, so I'm- once again -experimenting with stone platforms. I've got some 4" granite slabs that I put under my speakers, using the Vibrapods to decouple. is this to much of a change in height of the drivers? What do you guys think of stone under speakers in general? I beliefly listened and heard this; imaging was much improved, bass response appeared deminished and vocals seeemed a bit harder than before. Problem is I'm right in the middle of burning-in (2) Shunyata Viper v2 power cords, so everything is in flux right now. I know I'll have to wait till the cords are fully burned-in and I'll also have to a/b with the granite but just wanted some opinions on my query. Thanks guys.
Mike
