I currently have a pair of Infinity RS-4's purchased on UBid. I use them in my small bedroom and actually am enjoying the sound for now. (Electronics: H/K 5 Disc Changer; Monarchy 18 B, Monarchy SM-70)
However, they are rear ported and so I have to move them fairly far away from the front wall or the boominess is totally overwhelming. I would like to upgrade to mini-monitors soon, but I busted my small budget on the amp and DAC. Any ideas on upgrades to the speakers to facilitate moving them closer to the rear wall (currently 24") and maintaing some decent sound? Any suggestions on materials to fill the port? Crossover, driver upgrades? Thanks,
Dave
