I have no idea how the vandys *truly* measure. And I still haven't received this months Stereophile issue. However, a manufacturer has much to gain by claiming or displaying good measurements, whereas Stereophile has a somewhat more Democratic approach to measurements as it doesn't really matter to them if the measurements are good or bad. Vandy's measuring parameters and set-up will obviously be set up so that their measurements are as impressive as possible. Stereophile adheres to a standard which they hold to all speakers they measure. When you say how "wrong" Stereophile's measurements were, you really should just say "different". Stereophile didn't contest because it's acknowledged that there are a million different ways you can measure a speaker. If you love Vandys that is great, but a *manufacturers* measurements by all means shouldn't be what convinces you.
