How many Vandersteens have you actually owned? I have owned several. The first pair I ever heard was a set of 2B's he was demonstrating at the CES. I've met him, and I've spoken to him on the phone. I'm highly
familiar with his products.Richard Vandersteen would never mislead anyone. But, the nature, schmegie, of louspeakers is such that replication of measured specifications is difficult or impossible to achieve. A large part of the problem is that every speaker interacts with room acoustics. That's why anechoic chambers are used - an attempt at assaying the ACTUAL speaker characteristics, minus the room. An attempt at standardization.
Therefore, one cannot approach loudpseaker specs with anything but a
lot of incredulity. UNDERSTAND?
