Dynaudio or Soliloquy: Which has better potential?

161.253.147.148

Hello,

I'm looking to upgrade my system, starting with speakers. I've auditioned tons of mini monitors, and it boils down to two: Dynaudio Audience 50's and Soliloquy 5.0's. Both are great for jazz, classical, and soft rock and equivocal in my book.

My question is, this: Which one will be more likely to be satisfying to me in the long run after I've upgraded my amp, pre-amp, and subwoofer. Currently I have an Adcom GFA-5400 amp, Adcom gtp-450 tuner/preamp, and a Velodyne Ct-100 sub. I play cd's thru a Pioneer cd/dvd player. In a couple years, I hope to upgrade to a better solid-state amp (bryston, classe, aragon), and further along the line, I hope to get a more musical sub (rel).

I value neutrality, a wide open soundstage, and good imaging (who doesn't?). Razor sharp detail, I find inspiring at times, distracting other times. These speaks cost roughly the same, and my listening room is roughly 12'x 20'.

I'm really at an impasse here. I love 'em both, but am concerned with how happy I will be with them once my whole system is upgraded. Thanks for any help!
