1. The Micron is a sealed design.
2. Like all Dynaudio speakers, it is a 4 ohm design that sounds happiest with powerful amplifiers. However like the other sealed type Dyns like the Confidence 5, this little thing sounds ok with medium powered tubes.
3. Yes the Micron precedes the Contour 1.1 and 1.3, and is also better than either speakerThe catch however is that the Micron is designed for placement against a wall. They sound too thin when setup in full free space like the typical Dynaudio speaker.
