I´m very familiar with your equipment and I´m sure you feel the mids are a bit reticent (the mids in the Proacs 2.5 are a bit reticent compared to the Response 1SC or 2, and this add to the soft mids of the Audioquest and the Gryphon). I think you need to try an all Nordost Blue Heaven set of cables, I´m very confident this change will makes vocals comes to life. If you are happy with this change then change the internal wiring of the 2.5 for Blue Heaven. I did this in the past with my last 2.5 and the sound were incredible better than with the original wiring!!! (way more detailed, spacious and delicate...)
